I think that leg parasites probably cause robins to exhibit white patches in their plumage when they get into the skin beneath
the feathers.

A flock of 14 swifts flew over the yard on Easter.
On Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, there were three flocks that appeared (these could have been some of the same
birds) at different times, numbering 14, 10, and 8 chimney swifts.
