Status: Common to uncommon.
Flight:  Late February - November, recently rare in December, January and the beginning of February.
Distribution: Throughout.
 
Some females are white instead of orange and the early spring forms show a lot of yellow and usually have a wingspan of less than two inches.  The eggs are small and thin, similar in shape to the Sleepy Orange's, but light orange in coloration.       
 
Wingspan:  1 1/4 to 2 3/8 in.
