Status: Common.
Flight: March - September.
Wingspan: 2 in.
The caterpillar, soon after hatching, folds a small part of the leaf over itself, creating a temporary
home. As it grows, it makes a larger hiding place by binding leaves together with silk, as shown in the
bottom right photo. A few of the larval food plants include: Black Locust, Wisteria, Lespedeza, and rarely
White Wild Indigo (below).
